I am probably most excited about "Punishment" which Stone has sent me an advanced bottle of and is currently chilling in my fridge. Much like "Southern Charred" it is also Double Bastard having been bourbon barrel-aged but also with the addition of a variety of hot chili peppers. Supposedly this beer is ready to drink right now but Stone also says "it takes a certain kind of person to drink a beer infused with the world’s boldest, fiery chilies – they are called masochists" so that doesn't exactly inspire confidence. As a chili lover, I am dying to try it now and to cellar some bottles if it lives up to the hype. 12% ABV
The peppers used to create "Crime" and "Punishment" were sourced from Stone Farms as well as other suppliers. The list of scorching edibles includes red and green jalapeño, Fatali, Caribbean Red Hot, habanero, Ghost, Black Naga, Super, Moruga Scorpion, 7 Pot, Aji Amarillo, Scorpion, Giant White Habanero, 7 Pot Douglah and Douglah peppers.
